Lost the plane in the sun, to late to correct, slammed into a tree. Plane destroyed. The receiver was well padded in foam, and could not see any damage. Put the receiver on the bench, but will only react when turned on, with a slight kick of the servos. Are the crystals sensitive to shock , or have they become rugged over the years? JR PCM G Series, ABC&W Receiver NER-627x. Any tips would be appreaciated. Andy

YES VERY. Get a new one as the first and most probable cure.

The crystal is probably just fine, but the mount that holds the crystal inside the can is probably stretched out of shape due to excess g-force.
Tip 1 : Oak trees and receiver crystals don't play well together.
Tip 2 : Radio South does fine work -
