Kudos to Global Hobby Services

Dec 16, 2003 2 Replies

I accquired a Wattage Crazy 8 second hand through some horse-trading. The previous owner had buggered up the motor mounts such that they were not useable.

I looked at the LHS for something to replace them, but found nothing.

I then looked up parts on Global's website to see if I could come up with a number that I could have my LHS order. There was no number for 'motor mounts', but there was for a 'hardware package'. Not knowing if the mounts would be in that package, I sent an email to Global asking if I would get the mounts if I ordered that package from my LHS.

Here is the email and reply......

Dear David:

Typically, "hardware" is the pushrods, horns and clevises. If you just

need the aluminum clamshell-type motor mount, just give me your address and I can mail one to you no problem. They are on backorder but I have

a few spares up here.

A padded envelope from Global arrived today. In it was the mount set I needed - gratis ! ! !

Good things do happen with some hobby suppliers. Kudos to Global and Kyle.

I had a similar contact with a hobbyshop, I needed a head gasket that was no longer availible, but after an e-mail (where I included my adress) I recived a padded envelope with two headgaskets packed in a flyer from the hobbyshop and a note "don't send any money, just have fun"

Guess where I put my money when I buy stuff now....

I once needed a nose cone for my F-86 DF to replace one that was not formed correctly. I emailed Global and in short order I received same at no charge.

Great Customer Support!

It's the attention to details that makes or breaks ANY company.
