The setting is in a fairly rural area with affordable housing nearby with excellent public schools. Very small town atmosphere with big NYC and Boston within a two hour drive for culture and entertainment. The beach is less than an hour away.

Manager of Rotating Design--they seek someone who has at least five years of technical leadership in the Rotating Machinery Industry for size ranges of products, hands-on design experience with low to medium voltage, project management, technical writing abilities, with the ability to maintain a goal-oriented environment of skilled electrical and mechanical engineers and manufacturing staff. A BSEE, BSME, prefers MSEE or MSME degree with permanent magnet motors. Salary is dependent upon experience and ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 a year. Benefits are said to be quite nice and include relocation.

Electrical Design Engineer is a Power Engineer who knows electro-mechanical rotating equipment with inverter and variable frequency motor drives, permanent magnet motors, power conditioning electronic systems and control systems. They will meet with clients so excellent interpersonal skills are needed. They will be expanding the company's Product Line through Product Research and Development and Market Expansion. CAD and CAE tools are used to perform design, document, and analyze tasks. This Electrical Design Engineer will design power electronics, high voltage high current systems, sensor selection and interface, current, position, vibration, and temperature. There is minimal supervision for this person, so they seek someone self motivated with drive. They would like to talk with people who have a BSEE or MSEE degree with at least five years experience in the industry. Salary is dependent upon experience and ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 a year. Benefits are said to be quite nice and include relocation.

Mechanical Design Engineer will design induction motors, permanent magnet motors, alternators, generators, high speed rotating equipment. They use CAD and CAE tools here. They will meet with clients so excellent interpersonal communication skills are needed. They will meet with clients conceptualize solutions to meet the customers needs, formulate designs in compliance creating solutions to problems both technical and non-technical. There is minimal supervision for this person, so they seek a self motivated individual who has drive. They seek someone with at least five years experience in the industry with a BSEE, BSME, or MSEE, MSME degree. Salary is dependent upon experience and ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 a year. A New England R & D Center seeks an Electrical Engineering Section Manager to develop strategic programs for its hardware infrastructure for global execution. This Fortune 500 division boasts of a market-leading product worldwide, a beautiful facility, a friendly work atmosphere, top level coworkers, and they have very little turnover in professional staff. The Manager will create a strategic plan for hardware for the company, and will handle several important programs, which will include working with diverse groups of engineers globally on new generations of hardware development, standardization projects, and much more. The focus of this position is more in the product strategy arena than on specific hardware development. The Manager will define the architecture, then will pull together and direct a diverse set of technical people all over the world in execution. The systems here incorporate 32 to 8 bit microprocessors, FPGAs, PLDs, distributed controls, RS232, 484, and real-time, bus-based (CANBUS) communications, system power supplies, and fixtures. There will be plenty of annual budget preparation and forecasting, as well as some business case analysis, so the position is really half engineering and half program management. A promotion to the Director level within three to five years is quite possible. Initially the Section Manager will have a staff of three, with many more reporting to them on a matrix basis. There will be 15 - 20% worldwide travel, and there would be frequent after/before hour teleconferencing with other offices. The salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, depending on level of experience. In addition, the corporation offers an outstanding benefits package and generous relocation expenses. Requires five or more years of Hardware Architect experience in automated electrical/hardware systems utilizing distributed microprocessor-based controls, hopefully some project management experience, and at least a BSEE degree, with MSEE or MBA being strongly preferred. U.S. residency and fine interpersonal skills are required. A background in the automation, automotive, or capital equipment industry is perfect.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER- No. Hartford County, CT. This manufacturer seeks a mechanical engineer with some CAD experience to learn and design their unique systems. This division is the shining star of the corporation. Due to their hot selling, one-of-a-kind product, their sales have continued throughout the recession. The environment here is both dynamic and exciting. The V.P. of Engineering is positive and enthusiastic about the company and its products. He offers as much responsibility as the staff can handle. These systems incorporate stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and some composites. There is hardly any travel associated with this opportunity, but there is some work directly with customers. There would even be occasional R & D project assignments. This company already utilizes all the latest manufacturing techniques, including cellularization, pull production,

5S, set up reduction, statistical process controls, and continuous improvement. The salary ranges from $43,000 to $48,000, maybe $50,000, depending on level of experience, and they offer a full, highly competitive benefits package. This position requires a BSME degree, two years of mechanical product design experience on either components or systems using CAD, fine interpersonal skills, and a "way with people".

PACKAGING ENGINEER- SW CT. Prior to the meltdown of this industry in

2001, this company was #2 or #3 in their industry worldwide. They design market-leading products, and due to this, they value their engineers. They now expect a decent 2004. This Semiconductor Packaging Engineer will be designing and developing package substrates to meet electrical and thermal product requirements, using tools like Synopsys "Encore" or Cadance Advanced Package Designer, Harvard TAS thermal simulation, and Ansoft HFSS electrical simulation. Requires three or more years in the semiconductor industry as a Packaging Engineer, designing packages for high pin count and high speed devices, coupled with a BSME or BSEE. The salary ranges from $60K -$80K, but we will present qualified candidates to the $95K level. Their fine benefits package includes relocation.

Manager Product Qualification- New England- Looking for a company which can take you all the way to retirement? A Connecticut based R & D Center seeks a Manager with a background in Reliability or Qualification Engineering to coordinate its Test and Reliability programs for global execution. This Fortune 500 division boasts of a market-leading product worldwide, a beautiful facility, a friendly work atmosphere, top level coworkers, and they have very little turnover in professional staff. The Manager of Product Qualification will managed ten Quality Engineers & Technicians directly, and will guide nine other Qualification Teams around the world on both electronic and mechanical failure issues. These groups investigate problems which include polymeric and other materials, semiconductors, stress, and even EMI issues. A majority of the problems center around electronic components. A promotion to the Director level within three to five years is quite possible. There is 10 - 15% worldwide travel, along with frequent after/before hour teleconferencing. The salary ranges from $90,000 to $115,000, depending on level of experience, and we will present people at $10K above this. In addition, the corporation offers an outstanding benefits package and generous relocation expenses. The position requires eight or more years of Reliability or Quality Engineering experience, coupled with some recent management background, knowledge of accelerated reliability tests like HALT, HAST, and HASS, and an advanced technical degree (Ph.D.'s strongly preferred). U.S. residency and fine interpersonal skills are also required. A background in the automation, automotive, or capital equipment industry is perfect.

Technical Services Director- (construction materials)- SW Connecticut. This thriving, employee-oriented, world leader of its industry boasts of many long term employees. The Technical Services Director will manage a group of 6 & will be responsible for application/installation support for an engineered construction system, traveling 40-50% of the time. This privately held manufacturer holds high emphasis on research and quality in their line of products, resulting in rock solid stability and steadily increasing sales. The management here is ready to spend money on new tools and equipment to enhance productivity, as well. The salary ranges from $85,000 to $100,000, depending on level of experience, and they offer an annual bonus plan which runs around

5%, plus merit bonuses and relocation expenses. Requires a degree in Architecture or Engineering, together with either P.E. or architectural registration, ten or more years in the construction materials industry with strong methods background, and two or more years of management experience, hopefully in Technical Services.
