I used up the limited supply of .3 mm wire that came with my wind
-it-yourself brushless motor kit, What size wire is this in the AWG scheme? The conversion sites seem fine if you are converting ordinary measurements but can't find wire guage.

I would guess it would be 22 AWG. Here is a table up to or should I say down to 20 AWG.

0.3 mm is about 11.8 mils AWG 29 is 11.26 mil AWG 28 is 12.64 milPretty small stuff, must be a pain to wind a stator with it. Hmmm....on the order of 30 turns each on a 12 pole stator.....I think I'll buy one rather than go dizzy trying see what I'm doing and to keep count!

If you check out the Belden Wire and Cable Website:
You'll find that .3mm wire is half way between 28 and 29 gage solid wire.
BTW, stranded of the same size is listed as 30 gage.
I know that the US wire gage and sheet gage systems are very confusing, but it's done that way for a very good reason. Job security! How else could us Electro-Mechanical Designer types stay employed?
