Newbee with difficult question

Please, don't laugh. ;-) My question may be an awkward one, that's because I'm totally new to model planes and RC planes. I need a RC plane that can fly very far distances and fly very high altitudes. Where do you suggest a newbee should start looking? I'm a bit overwhelmed by the info on the net and that's why I would appreciate some help from experienced people.



I have no idea how far (or how long) RC planes can fly or what's the record altitudes. Please some help. And thanks a lot!!!!!

Actually, Global Hawk has the distance (West coast to Australia). While Helios holds the altitude at 95k plus. However, I heard that Helios crashed a week or so ago.

some people will do anything to smuggle illegal immigrants in...!!!! :)

and if you are doing that sort of stuff you want something that will fly under radar...at 2000 feet you will get picked up easily and probably shot down.
