Twins

I recently bought a Sig Clipped wing cub (1/4 scale) with a Magnum 160 twin four stroke. This is my first twin and I can''t get it to idle without an onboard glow driver. Is this pretty common for twin engines. Also is a fuel pump necessary?

Anybody know where the CG should be for this plane?

Can't speak for the Magnum but I have 12 years operational experience with the OS 120 and 160 twins. They require neither Glow drivers or fuel pumps. The 160 Twinshave flown for 6 years on Hanger 9 CAP 232s. They are smooth with moderate power capable of flying the IMAC pattern. I use 10&15% Omega pink fuel APC

17x10 N (narrow blade) Props and OS Fourstroke glow plugs. Seldom have to change the needle valve setting more than four clicks summer to winter here in the Dallas Ft Worth area. The engines have run through 200 plus gallons of fuel over the last 12 years with complete reliability, right up to the point where the rh cylinders fail from metal fatigue and blow off of the crankcase. This is around 85 to 100 hours actual run time so unless you are a five day a week flyer like I am don't worry about it. It sounds like the engine is still breaking in. run it just slightly rich and have fun.

Sounds like it is not broken in yet. Even Magnum singles won't idle when new. They need ~2 hours run time to begin to idle well.
