What folder do you drop new hatch patterns in?

Default load of AutoCAD/ADT should put it in the AutoCAD directory under support. ie:ADT C:\Program Files\Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3\Support\ ie:R14 C:\Program Files\AutoCAD R14\SUPPORT
