Has anyone heard of a system to tighten ER series collets semi-automatically?
I had this idea that it would save a lot of time if we could just drop a toolholder into a tightening fixture, lower a powered wrench-like-thingie onto the collet nut, and release/tighten a tool.
Anyone already doing this? Is this an off the shelf solution? Is there a latent flaw in this vision?
