Links to webspace can be.

There is no universal newsreader that will allow 2D arrangements to render correctly on all machines. Whatever you come up with will look different on almost every machine that tries to read it.

There must be a finite number of formats, at least once the size, font, etc. are adjusted. You should be able to go to a site which would allow you to draw the flow chart in something like Word and it would then convert it to text based images in the top dozen or so most common formats.

Then post all the dozen or so formats by order of popularity telling everyone to scroll down looking for something that looks like a flow chart.

There might also be something similar for electronic circuits.

It's amazing what some people can present in text.

Your other responders have made suggestions that *will* look correct in a web browser.

We use powerpoint (no chortles please). It has the advantage that it's available on the standard build of most corporate machines.
