Hydraulic systems modeling

Jul 07, 2003 6 Replies

I'm looking for equations that models hydraulic systems (ie volumetric/centrifugal pumps, piping, relief valves....). Is someone able to suggest me some pages, hints, books... to find some helpful info so that I can implement them using my simulation program?

Thank You

Hope that helps

See if you can find a copy of McCloys book. Probably have to look in a University library for it.

"Control of Fluid Power : Analysis & Design"

Author: Donaldson McCloy

As you say I'm interested in hydraulic networks, basically pump/motor systems used as starting devices. As you say, there are dedicated programs for analysis purpose, but I would like to use Simulink, writing equations that I need (as I do for other systems).

Thans for any help

This company provides a hydraulic blockset for Simulink. The company is a member of the MathWorks connections program also.
