Re: DC motor modeling

Can anybody help me in defining the transfer function(s, z) of a DC motor?

> I'm not referreing to a general FT(available in control books) but a the FT > of a real motor I have. > >

Basic Motor is KV = omega + omega dot * Tau

in S notation X = 1 ---- ---------------- Y 1 + ST

Z transform is ! + e^-aT -------------- a(z - e^-aT)

T is Time constant of Motor (67% rise time with step input) V = Volts K proportionality constant
