Synchronisation Question

Existing setup>

  1. DNO supplies at 11 kV through a circuit breaker and onto the 11 kV busbar.
  2. 11 kV generating set serves as standby backup and runs at TRIAD times. Synchronises with DNO at 11 kV and switches 11 kV breaker onto busbar when in sync. with DNO.
  3. 415 V CHP generating set, steps up to 11 kV via transformer. Synchronises with DNO and/or generator on 11 kV side and switches 11 kV breaker onto busbar when in sync. with DNO and/or generator.

Now we are installing a second CHP generating set. This is a 415 V unit and comes as a package plant. The 415 V generator will step up to 11 kV via transformer and connect to the same busbar by HV circuit breaker. This new unit comes with it's own synchronising breaker on the 415 Volt side.

Does anyone envisage any problems with synchronising this unit on the LV side, when all the others are synchronised on the HV side? Appreciate any opinions.

TIA
