A classic starship model can feel a bit cold once the December decorations come out, and this build tackles that head on. The maker has dressed up a custom Millennium Falcon entirely in red, white, and green bricks, turning one of the most recognisable ships around into something that belongs next to the fireplace.
The construction choices are what sell it. A decorated Christmas tree sits on the top center of the hull, and a sleigh loaded with wrapped gift models rests along the left side. That sleigh is harnessed by connector bars to a team of reindeer, which gives the whole arrangement a proper procession feel rather than just items scattered on top of a ship.
The minifigure work is where the personality shows. Figures ride the reindeer themselves, including a villain character in festive clothing, a human character, and a small character. Among the sleigh's crew is a Santa-suited figure holding a green lightsaber, and up on the forward mandibles stand figures in holiday sweaters with elf accessories, among them a hairy alien and a Jawa. Mixing the crew roster like that seems a smart call to me.
One open point: of the four reindeer, one carries no rider. The maker has said that more figures from a Star Wars advent calendar could fill that empty spot. The build was displayed on a table at a model exhibition, sitting among pirate ships with striped sails and modular castles.
