Lego compatible

Hope this won't be considered off-topic.

I am looking for some old TYCO brand Lego compatible sets. They were available around 1988.

The first is a Castle kit (NO. 5280), the second is a Space kit (NO. unknown). Both of the kits contain special bricks. Hard to describe but here goes.

The first piece is a triangle with one large bump on top. Each side is the length of a 1x2.

The second piece is the first one with a 1x2 on each of two sides. Six of these fit together to form a twelve sided cylinder. Great for Castle towers.

The third piece is the basic triangle with a 1x2 on one side and no bump on the triangle part.

There may be other kits that contain these same angled pieces. Any info on such pieces would be appreciated.

While this newsgroup does not allow binaries, you can post a picture in one of the alt.binaries newsgroups. Just post a reply here telling us which one.

Your ISP probably has space for you to put up a small webpage (or even just a couple of pictures). Alternatively, a search for Tyco on Brickshelf does find some items, so I guess they are okay there. Or use Ken's suggestion, alt.binaries.toy-cars seems fairly slow and close to on-topic.(g).

I do have 4 bags (bricks, plate, slopes, other) of Tyco in storage, but I'd rather not dig without a firm sale commitment or a better idea of what I am looking for.

Regarding your inquiry about the wedge shaped Tyco bricks, I have two of the 5-stud version in gray.

Now the bad news, I would prefer to sell all of my Tyco bricks/pieces together. If you would like to make an offer, I can post pictures of what I have: 2, 1-gallon bags of bricks, 1/2 bag each of slopes (roof pieces), plates and other (doors, axles, double-sided plates, etc.). Your choice of Parcel Post or Express Mail from Zip 74602.

Best regards,
