How to get free locksmithing services

OK so you know the locksmiths rip you off. Between selling you shoddy crap a 10 year old crack head can pop open with a paperclip and jacking up the prices on the crap and ripping you off with ridiculous labor charges for stuff they never even did theres no question.

What to do what to do......................

Strike back thats what.

Its simple. Charge whatever you need done to a credit card. There is something called the special rule for credit card purchases. Read the back of your credit card statement it is detailed there. In an nutshell you can chargeback against a merchant in your home state or within 100 miles of your mailing address any charge for goods and services which you find unsatisfactory. Make sure the locksmith you are using takes credit cards. Under no circumstances sign anything that says you are satisfied with the goods or services rendered. If that language appears on the credit card slip you sign just mark through it and tell them flat out that you dont know if you are satisfied or not yet. There is nothing they can do about it. They can call the police if you dont pay in many states but you are paying by signing the slip you dont have to sign it with their BS language intact. If possible make sure they are working on your private property that way you can order their ass off for tresspassing if they give you static. Now contact the credit card company and tell them you are not satisfied because <insert reason here>. The charge will be charged back against the secret squirrels merchant account. Its in their merchant account agreement and its all stacked in your favor. This rule is a huge pain in the ass to merchants and only a few consumers even know how to really exploit it.

They can sue you but even if they manage to get you to court you can just say there that the goods/services were crap and be ready to explain why. Its extra insurance to sign the locksmiths paperwork with a name slightly different from yours of have a friend over when they show up to sign that way if push comes to shove you can even say that they forged your signature. You can also counter sue them for whatever you can come up with making it really not worth their time. If youre really annoyed call them up and disguise your voice and run their ass all over town on jobs that dont exist. Get your friends to join in on the fun. They will get the message that they are f****ng with the wrong guy or girl. The best part is you will get them so paranoid that they will refuse to go out on REAL jobs because they think its you yanking their crank. And for you girls theres always the sexual harrasment or attempted rape allegation an oldy but a goody for those of you who are really hardcore.

Till next time and remember this post is for informational purposes only and only details what a devious and ruthless person COULD do No one is encouraged to go out and do these things.

If you purchased stuff from the lockie's shop, then surely you would need to return the stuff when seeking a chargeback. If you tried this too often would you not be falling foul of RICO?

In any case if you regularly do charge-backs withour rhyme or reason, your credit rating is going to be badly impaired.

Or...... They will be unfortunate enough to actually get one of the relatively few "bad apples" that this guy accuses us all of being. I know a couple of locksmiths that would make the customer's life miserable, either through legal channels or "other ways".

There are all kinds of people in the world (including a few locksmiths, I'm sure) who consider vegence a sport. And they can be pretty creative.

And then there's always: "What goes around, comes around". If you screw people it will eventually catch up with you.

The boss of a local whiteware dealer frequently appeared on TV promising to put things right. He got a call at 2am about a faulty washing machine that was duly fixed the next day. the customer got a call at 2am the following morning to see if he was satisfied with the service.

Drywall screws. Just toenail the damn thing shut with 'em if your neighborhood is so bad the average thief has time to pick the locks. 3/4" plywood inside and out over all doorways and windows will go a long way too, if you remember to drill the slots out of the screwheads on the outside.

Actually, it allows lethal force if you reasonably believe the person to be forcing their way into a home (not necessarily yours) without permission; i.e. you can shoot the guy burglarizing your neighbor's house.

Texas Penal Code, note that (1) and (2) are "or"ed. One could also assert that a landlord implicitly expects tenants to take reasonable action to protect rented property in the landlord's absence.

9.43. PROTECTION OF THIRD PERSON'S PROPERTY. A person is justified in using force or deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property of a third person if, under the circumstances as he reasonably believes them to be, the actor would be justified under Section 9.41 or 9.42 in using force or deadly force to protect his own land or property and: (1) the actor reasonably believes the unlawful interference constitutes attempted or consummated theft of or criminal mischief to the tangible, movable property; or (2) the actor reasonably believes that: (A) the third person has requested his protection of the land or property; (B) he has a legal duty to protect the third person's land or property; or (C) the third person whose land or property he uses force or deadly force to protect is the actor's spouse, parent, or child, resides with the actor, or is under the actor's care.
