Kwikset Lock Boring Jig

Herlo again.I was looking at getting a cylindrical lockset jig, and I took a lookat the porter cable one. I wasn't too thrilled with the fact that itwas plastic. I figured for 150$+ they'd at least make it out of metal.It seems to me that if it wasn't clamped on PERFECTLY straight, you'dbore through the door and right into the other side of the jig... PlusI dont understand how it could stop the door from splitting if it'snot holding it tight... but anyways I digress.... I wont be buying theporter cable one.I took a look at Kwikset's setup, but I haven't seen it in the fleshyet. It's all metal which is already a plus, and it comes with moreoptions than the porter cable set, so I was wondering if anyone hadexperience with this one?If not that one, then what else is around that's good for a relativebeginner?Thanks!

I completely agree with you regarding the kwikset jig. From what I've found, its been the best on the market for a long time. Simplicity combined with functionality at its finest. I'm getting ready to try the A-1 product's jig and we'll see how that one works out. Honestly, it actually looks like it will be even better than the kwikset, but for now, I'm a Kwikset believer. I've tried many of the others, and they are a joke in comparison.

Just my $.02 worth.
