Cy;

Thanks for your response. Not having yet benefited from working with an old hand like yourself, at this point I'm trying to learn what I can from printed sources. One thing I haven't run across (and which I just learned from you) is that not all car locks can be picked. Is this a matter of new versus old or one brand/model versus others?

time is the thing.. taker a PROPER tool, car door open is under a minute, with knowledge and practice..

OR, the lock is worn, sloppy, stiff, has anti pick features-spend

15 minutes or more working on it..

and some CANNOT at all be picked..you must open the car-and in some cases with great difficulity..
