i need help regarding the thermal as well as mechanical design of plate fin type heat exchanger. i have referred some reference books for it.. but finding it difficult to start with...can anyone help me with it..

If you are starting a company that will make heat exchangers for sale (or working on a thesis of some sort), this is a good tack to take.
If you simply need a heat exchanger for a certain task, there are hundreds of heat exchanger manufacturers that offer everything from custom fabricated specialties, to "10 foot" lengths of aluminum extruded in generic heat exchanger shapes. All of them provide heat transfer rates for their shapes.
