There is a product available for surfboard repair called Solarez. It's a paste in a tube a mixture of a uv curable polyester resind and finely chopped glass fibers. Off roaders use it too forquick patches buggys and such out in the desert. Just apply some smooth it out with some saran put it in the sun and intant repair Pretty cool

Surfers are worse than women about changing their style and appearence..ie their boards. Fad surfers have to have the latest greatest styles, or the coolist paint or geewhizbankthingabob

You can break a board, and you can tear one open and sorta kinda waterlog the core with some effort..but its nearly impossible to wear one out.
