What is the best way to make one inch conduit fit when runnign from a floor sub to an attached panel? I mean, if it is flush with the bottom of the panel the threaded nipple will be too short. And if it is any longer you cant get it to fit under the panel.

Don't run it straight, put in two slow bends. This gives you the opportunity to move it around a bit for installation. Additionally, you should never run a conduit straight, because with temperature change, it will change length causing undue stress somewhere. Steve
