Help with conduit.

What is the best way to make one inch conduit fit when runnign from a floor sub to an attached panel? I mean, if it is flush with the bottom of the panel the threaded nipple will be too short. And if it is any longer you cant get it to fit under the panel.

Unscrew the panel from the wall and lift it up an inch or two. Put the conduit in place and slide the panel back down into place. Of course having a helper would be a good idea.

If that isn't possible then shorten the conduit just enough to be able to screw a 1" threaded coupling onto the end of it and have it fit under the panel. Then screw a 1" chase nipple through the panel box and into the threaded coupling.
