greets all. i'm looking to 'slap together' a little sheetmetal beader, something to roll simple ribs and offsets. probably 1mm (0.04") sheet is what i'm likely to work with .. 1.5mm/0.06" tops.
i'll admit to never actually having used one myself.. i'm wondering how 'rigid' is rigid when it comes to bead rolling. can't imagine needing a throat any deeper than, say, 6".
lacking experience, i'm wondering if adding some capacity to either the sheet thickness (2mm?) or the throat (10") would quickly make this an enormous machine (therefore, out of my league).
look'n for tips at this point. oh, and the beader would be hand-operated/powered.
thanks,
-tony
