Isolating air compressor vibration

Sep 14, 2004 2 Replies

I have an 80-gal. air compressor that I'm mounting on a 4'x4' cement pad beside my garage. I haven't been able to find anything suitable to use as vibration isolators on the feet. I've looked at Home Depot and OSH for anything that might fit the purpose, but haven't found anything that seemed beefy enough. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Rob, The correct method to solve the problem is to weigh the compressor and determine the vibration frequency (RPM). With this info, use Google and search for shock mounts. Go to these web sites and browse thru their catalogue using your data, order the correct item. Steve
