parting out old Boice CMM

Sep 06, 2006 0 Replies

i'm parting out an old Boice CMM; this type used a separate 19" rack cabinet containing the 3 DRO's (using NIXIE tubes!!) and other control boxes; the granite surface plate has been sold.

this item is only good for parts!! the main unit containing the air- bearing parts/etc. is available, but not for long.

is the (stainless?) steel square posts (that have the various moving axes running on them - ie: air bearing) valuable? i'm assuming they are probably ground/lapped items to keep everything square? anything else in there worth anything?

tnx in advance, barry carson city nv
