I was just sampling the Cornell University website "Making of America". Some really fascinating magazines and books here that can be down-loaded including early issues of Scientific American.

Yes. A good place to read really old Sci Ams. Cornell has some significant historical (and legal, for one other thing) materials. Frank Morrison
