Statistics for RCM

May 01, 2007 7 Replies

Just playing with a stats program for a.m.c. Thought I'd post a report for R.C.M. Likely there are bugs in it since I've just started playing with this stuff.

For the computer literate types, I am running leafnode and Garry Knights perl script on a W2K box using Cygwin

To show that most of the articles that get the most responses are political crap ("Top 20 threads by no. of articles"), and that they mostly consist of full-quotes ("Top 20 threads by size in KB")?

Thanks, I knew that before. :-)

Nick

To prove my claim that most of the discussions here is just plain s*it not belonging here:

I have marked *clearly* OT-postings with OT and was very liberal what is belonging here or not, according to the charter:

This makes 491 OT postings compared to 290 On-Topics. WOW! 62.8% Off-Topics, 37.1% On-Topics.

Not to forget the on-topics where Gunner Arsch or Larry "Sponge Bob" Jaques jump in and make a political discussion out of it.

Nick

Thanks for the effort/information. I hope that you will be able to run the stats for both AMC and RCM on an ongoing basis.

Unka' George [George McDuffee] ============ Merchants have no country. The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains.

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), U.S. president. Letter, 17 March 1814.

Interesting!

Ignoring TMTNTC (too much trolling nothing to contribute) henceforth may change things a bit.

And these are the starters of the top 9 OT-Threads:

Too Many Tools (but not enough brain): 2 Ignoramus "Iggyot": 2 motc: 1 Richard J. Kinch : 1 Tom Gardner : 1 greggspen : 1 Karl Townsend : 1

Nick

--A pity there's no way to track persons most often killfiled. Heh.

I gotta' know what "Top 20 responders by original text (> 5 posts)" means. I'm #5 on that list and I don't know how I should feel about it. 8-)

Bob
