Supertherm info?

I know Supertherm has been casually mentioned here in connection with container buildings so I'm wondering if anyone's actually looked into it in any detail? Seems all the web sites that tout it want you to e-mail them. Are there NO online order forms that give a price? If it's sold as "an enhanced paint" for say $80/gal, I could see my way to buying a few gallons. If it's sold as "liquid insulation" and runs in the hundreds per gal, well, I'll take a pass, thankyouverymuch.

So, does anybody have any first, or even second-hand experience with. or knowledge of this stuff?

I finally broke down an e-mailed one of the vendors.

The price is in the range of $500 for 5 gallons. It comes only in basic white unless you order at least a 60 gallon colored batch, so if you want colors for any kind of residential appliction, you'll have to have it colored locally. Coloring, especially "darker" colors isn't recommended, as the darker the color, the less effective it is at reflecting all wavelengths, especially the IR we're interested in as an interior application to keep heat from shooting out the walls.

Could also be they don't know who they are talking to, so they quote Full MSRP instead of Jobber price. And you, I, and most of the people in this newsgroup just laugh and walk away when quoted Full MSRP because we know better.

And all I Hit when looking for the stuff are GoDaddy parked domains

- that are getting Pop-ups past the blockers...
