Anyone had dealings with this outfit? I emailed them on Tuesday asking for a quote for supply of a piece of MS 3" x 1" x 12" but have not yet had a reply. Just wondering if this is par for the course for them or if there is somatup.

I think the whole team will be at Ally Pally ...... like all three of them! (well maybe four) I have used them a lot and they are fine. Try again after the show has finished and they get back to base.
I have dealt with College many times over almost thirty years - It's a small family business and I would say there's not a better company from which to buy small quantities of modeling metals.
I personally wouldn't have the slightest hesitation in recommending them. In all my dealings, nothing has ever been too much trouble, he will cut odd bits from large sheets and even go out of his way to find his customers odd sized stock which is hard to find - and which he then sells to you for just a few pence. Unfortunately, his stand at ME exhibitions is so popular you usually can't get within six feet of it for middle-aged men waving their shopping lists!
Only a guess but I suspect your problem might possibly be related to them preparing for their attendance at the Ally Pally ME exhibition which started today.
