Gaiter for Myford VM-B

Jun 15, 2009 2 Replies

We have a Myford VM-B vertical milling machine on which the gaiter protecting the main shaft has split - this was Myford's last spare. They suggested that the gaiter was actually a motor cycle front fork gaiter from a British bike but could not be more specific than that. Does anyone happen to know where a replacement gaiter could be sourced or which bike/model they were from?

Thanks.

Most British bikes had a sports or trial variant, so probably look at the mainstream bike stuff on Fleabay:

Hello have you also looked at the other possibilty of supply, have a look in a domestic washing machine spares shop as well as they use convaluted hoses for pump drain and water connections to the drum, in a variety of sizes. Cheers Colin
