I think there is a Duty of Care notice on PCB oils now, so he could be into problems for that, plus selling/handling waste products without a licence, plus... the list goes on for the unwary.

There is a duty of care on PCBs. I sent a 'question to seller' and advised him to phone the HSE on their 0845 number. Interfering git that I am.

Quite a whopper. Temperature drops only by about 60° an hour. Good for stress-reliefing.

I have never sold on eBay so don't know how (if at all) they handle such things. Anyone know the rules (e.g. for old furnaces with asbestos in - which I have seen sold without the asbestos being mentioned) ?

My understanding is at the moment, so long as the furnace is complete and undamaged there is no issue, however later this year legislation apparently is coming in that changes that a bit. So if you have a furnace with an asbestos cement board construction (as many small induction furnaces do) you can transport it whole without issue, but if you unscrew one panel and have it as two bits, you need a special licence from the Thought Police to move it.
