ME / Whit

As the ME series threads are Whitworth form, but a constant tpi (40,32,26), is a 1/8x40 ME thread the same as a 1/8x40 Whit thread?

Yes!

1/8 BSW = 1/8 - 40 = 1/8 ME 5/32 BSW = 5/32 - 32 = "ME" 5/32 - 32 3/16 BSF = 3/32 - 32 = "ME" 3/16 - 32 1/4 BSF = 1/4 - 26 = 1/4 BSB

I put the ME in quotes - "ME" because I do believe it is part of the actual Model Engineer Standard. I prefer to consider them as constant pitch Whitworth as you have, but it is convenient to be aware of the coincidences to avoid duplicate stocking.
