Just on the off chance:-
I've got a 1500mm Mitutoyo AT115 DRO scale, the length I need is between 870 and 1000mm travel. It seems a real shame to have to hack a perfectly good expensive scale, but that's what I'll be doing unless someone has a shorter one which they would like to swap.
