Can anyone tell me what modifications were made to the S7 bed when the power crossfeed was introduced? A friend of mine needs to regrind/change his power feed S7 bed but Myford say they are "significantly" different to the earlier ML7/S7 beds. A change is preferred as his own bed has suffered the usual abuse near the headstock but Myford are not very forthcoming on what the actual difference is. Earlier beds seem to be available but power crossfeed ones in reasonable condition seem fairly rare. Thanks for any advice you can give.
