Anyone seen the XJ12, XJ20 and XJ25 mills? How do they compare with the X2 and X3?
I'm particularly interested in their build quality and most important accuracy. They are cheaper, but are they any good?

Ta,
Peter, they all appear to come with accuracy reports, perhaps you could ask the seller to scan and forward copies. The prices seem to be up to 30-35% cheaper than equivalent brands - more like what they pay in America. Quality-wise, there shouldn't be much of a problem - they're come from the same manufactuer as several leading brands. Equally important is can you get spares and support if things go wrong?
I should have a word with the seller - he's very approachable - he's me! Hugh
So then - how do they compare in build quality and accuracy (in use - I find accuracy certs about as useful as ..insert favourite euphamism.. )?
I find most of the "inaccuracy" on my chinese machines is me!
Steve
Are you harryuk123 on ebay?
Could you send a bit more info to me on email if i PM you my emai address? Are the z-axis driven by a rack and pinion arrangement on these.
I'm toying with the idea of buying something like this to convert t cnc. Really like the look of the Sieg X3 and there seems to be lots o info out there to convert it to cnc. Gets a bit pricey though when yo start to add everything up. (Just trying to justify it to myself when already have a manual AEW Denford mill.)
