Small motherboards available

Ok, Gentlemen,

My company is getting rid of some old "handheld" computers. They have been used in the Log Scaling business for years, and have been replaced. Each unit comes with a Z-80 processor, 64K of mem, a small mother board, 6 line LCD display, rubber keyboard, EPROM and rechargeable "C" size batteries. I can't think of any use for them outside of a basic robot. You should have everything here that you would need to put a processor on your bot. Is anybody interested? I think we still have 20 of so available. Al

Whoa, good responses,

I've sent this to the people who have contacted me directly, and will extend this offer to everyone else:

Thanks for responding. One of the Ladies in the office is bringing in her camera tomorrow, so I'll be able to send pictures. There is a fellow here in the office that has been writing assembly programs for these things for years, I'll ask him about software choices, documents, etc. He uses a "communicator", a separate box that charges the batteries, and provides a serial port. (We have a bunch of these as well)

The best thing about these is the price. Right now my boss is getting ready to shovel them into the local dumpster. If we can find some way to ship these out without a lot of hassle, I'll do it. Let's say that if you pay Shipping & Handling, and can provide a good home, they are yours. I've got at least 40 of them right now. They would be sent from Southern Oregon,

97470, and weigh about 6 lbs.

Hi,

We are in Roseburg Oregon. These are available for shipping and handling, free if you show up here to pick them up. I am putting together a package including pictures which I will post here later today. It looks like handling will be 4.00 per box, and we can a couple in a medium size box. Al

Hi Steve,

It looks like they are all spoken for right now, but I'll let you know. Al
