You kidding???

This is wayyyy more interesting compared to some of the recent ROL announcements. The UPC label ROL announcement was just about the most worthless.

Phil Ste> YAWN.... This should be a ROL news release!!

Don't forget changes in poly bag thickness.

That was ROL style HEADLINE newsworthy!

BTW this was offered to ROL and actually appeared on TRF.

I wonder why the participation in "organized" rocketry is contracting?

Okay. Is this issue, along with the bag thickness, ever going to die? Or do I have to live with it for the next 400 years?

There's no statute of limitations on RMR so you'll have to listen to it until the day you die. Those of us who live longer than you will have to endure at least one forum member telling us what a jerk you were, how you cost him a lot of money and how UPC 's and thicker bags were really his idea anyway.

And it is in no way about YOU.

It is about ROL accepting "news" like that and NOT accepting news like this:

"U.S. Rockets releases 12 new ALREADY POPULAR kits."

In theory a publisher should want to emphasize news that is more appealing and more valuable to more people.

A rising tide lifts all ships.

Welcome to the industry. We vendors are very happy to have you.

As you have seen, rmr and to a degree ROL is precisely the opposite attitude.

Issues, along with the persistant whiners, on RMR are like a bad case of the clap in a frathouse, lingering on and on and on....

If they're "new", how can they be "ALREADY POPULAR"?

If they've been around long enough to be "ALREADY POPULAR", then they are pretty much by definition not "new"....

It takes time from initial release until the word gets out.

Time enough to establish a trend.

heheheheh

Actually I meant that more of a jab towards ROL announcements than against you/SAG.

btw, killer paint job on that Ice Storm!

I think he meant, "not moth eaten" new.

If there's been a trend established, then doesn't that, ipso facto, imply that the word has already gotten out?

Since we are beating this dead horse, I will cite an actual fact.

Estes releases a kit and it is declared "new" by it, its order forms, its distributors and its dealers for ONE YEAR.

Ah, come on, Jerry. I'm just having a bit of fun with ya.

I re-watched my "Yes, Minister" and "Yes, Prime Minister" DVD sets over the last few weekends, and I've been channelling the Principal Private Secretary a bit more than usual, lately, as a result.

At least I haven't turned into Sir Humphrey....
