interesting ingredients.....

but more important is this:

"Packaging meets the UN Regulations for Dangerous Goods UN 0454-Class

1.4S - Shipping via UPS and Air is allowed...." This is good yes? Are UN0454 Class 1.4S igniters BATFE controlled?

Yes.

Probably qualifies for 7887 as well.

They've always been 1.4S, yes they are regulated (see the list) and no, they don't qualify for 7887.

I don''t think so...all E-7887 refers to is NA 0323 and NA 0276... Not UN0454.. and besides is LunaTech even a part to the latest E-7887, which by the way expires for a number of model rocket companies this very month....

How does E-7887 expiring affect the consumer? Sorry to ask what is probably common knowledge but after a few searched I can't seam to find any information.

DOT E-7887 is what allows estes, quest,AT,et al to legally ship their rocket motors ..... along with a number of other companies and entities....

It doesn't, unless it isn't renewed. Most (all?) exemptions expire every year. Most are renewed, and I'm sure 7887 will be (along with

10996, which much of HPR relies on). If for some reasons one of these exemptions was not renewed then the way the motors are shipped would change (for the worse).

Exemptions can also be canceled by the DOT at any time, at their discretion.

Why do you find that scary? They can do the same with an intrinsic classification. It's their jurisdiction.

What is scary is that the removal of the exemption could make motors covered by the exemption much harder to ship and therefore raise the overall cost to the end user.

Based on DOT, CPSC and ATF actions (and UN alignment) recently, it should be counted on.

Sure, canceled across the board, or denied to individual companies. They are the DOT's exemptions, they can do what they like with them.

So you are also saying regulation (as exists) does not matter?

Let me guess. You also require ATF permits for the very "sport rocket" motors even ATF now agrees are exempt by their public notice to de-exempt them?

Hmmm????

You are part of the problem. Some would say the central part of it.

Forcing ATF to conform to your BAD industry practice.,

"ATF now says are exempt": Where and when did ATF say that? Don't quote the CFR; ATF says that's not what that exemption means, (although I dissagree).

Who is the "some would say"?

The above is jerky BS. BTW, how come you could not force DOT to conform to your "bad industry practices"??

Do you have new information to share with the RMR group. BTW, on my way to MDRA launch and I'm going to launch a rocket on a "LOKI Research J528, a real bitchen motor. Just think "big fine", we would-da and could-da been using your motors, (notice I didn't say should-da; bur hold on a minute, you never made or sold motors, isn't that right Jerry?

Sit down and shut up , and I'll go away..
