BLACK POWDER ENGINEER
Description of Responsibilities:
a.. Plan, interpret, organize, test and execute special assignments in the design of new products and the improvement of existing products as they relate to black powder model rocket engine design and related internal ballistics. b.. Conceptual, preliminary and final product design functions including calculations and theoretical analysis. c.. Develop and maintain detailed technical records. d.. Assist in the design, drafting, and testing of black powder model rocket motor prototypes. e.. Assist Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Engineering as required. f.. Additional Responsibilities as Assigned
Requirements:
a.. BA/BS in Chemical Engineering is preferred or equivalent work experience b.. Knowledge of governmental regulations regarding the transportation and manufacturing uses of black powder c.. 5 to 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment and professional developmental experience in solid propellants and/or pyrotechnics in regards to internal and external ballistics. d.. Must be able to pass Federal and Colorado State background checks e.. Computer programming background is desirable
