The old threads were pretty tiresome, and mostly OT. The idea that they would get certified as ModRoc motors was tilting at windmills.

That's not to say they aren't fun or useful. The jetex.org site is primarily dedicated to selling NOS original Jetex stuff, and spends a lot of your time pooh-poohing the new stuff, but does have a lot of good information. The new stuff - Jet-X - is available from Peck

but it appears that the Jet-X portion of the site is dead right now.

Jet-X, or orignal Jetex, is pretty fun to play with, but can also be very frustrating to make work. Reliability and repeatability is not a strong suit, and extreme care had to be taken to get them loaded, sealed, ignited, and launched with any sort of consistency. The little "50" sized unit, the first one re-introduced, is the worst of the bunch as far as fussiness goes. The old "150" was a lot more forgiving. But none of them give the same sort of repeatable results that you get even from RMS motors, much less single-use motors.
