Hi group, just wondering what people prefer. acrylic or enamel? Model Masters? Also, what mixture ratio works best for airbrushing in a very dry climate? Perhaps it was the primer I used, but when I airbrushed the interior of my mustang using Model Master flats, the paint dryed almost immediately and it had almost a 'roughness' to it. Which ofcourse didn't lend itself to well for wash and drybrush. I certainly want to get this figured out before I airbrush this B-52 cammo this summer. Oh, fyi, I've always learned to thin paint for airbrushing to the consistancy of skim milk. I have much to learn with aircraft modeling. Knowing the techniques is one thing, but making them look SO real like they were just zapped with a shrink ray, is something else entirely. I have seen examples on websites like Large Scale Planes and Aircraft Resource Center that are simply breathtaking. Some are more like a
3D Picasso, not a model. My hat's off. :)- posted
