More than one apparently, which is why it's beyond most people's reach. And living space :) Chek

IIRC when they first came out several years ago meteor was selling them for about $190US. It was a limited run kit, but a nice one.

My first born cost me a hell of a lot more than that.

Can't afford to get bored, I just "had" to open the damned bomb doors. This is going to be a 6 month project that takes 6 years!

The first born took 30+ years and I'm not sure it is anywhyere near over. At least her husband is a modeler.

Just remember one thing, it will be one hell of an impressive model when done. I passed the kit up when it was available and regretted it when I saw one built up later. I have the Rareplanes Vac-u-form in 1/72, and of course there is the Airfix injected kit. But a Vulcan in 1/48 is a real attention getter.

Oxmoron1, Strangely enough, with open bomb bay is how I'm doing my Airfix B1A conversion too. Shame all the detail's going to be out of sight, but that's modellers for ya :) Chek

Well, there is a UK IPMS branch who's show stand usually features the Airfix kit in a ninety degree banking turn, with gear down and bay doors open. Great way of showing of the chap's work.

Jon, Yes, I've seen that model. Good piece of work too. Unfortunately, I also want the entrance hatch open. It's a disease I tell you....lol Chek

WRONG! It is not a disease, it is a CURSE! I'm using a mirror base, reflective "concrete". I did cut way back on the cockpit "fiddly" time.
