Italeri set of 12 figures in soft plastic. I've seen them before but not sure if they will take paint.
the plastic appears to be harder than the play toy type figures....
looks like a cheap alternative to the white metal or resin knight figures in that scale...

I've painted lots of soft plastic figures in the past with (usually) a good bit of success. I've always washed them first with dish soap, then primed lightly before painting. Airbrushing the primer is best, especially when doing a bunch of figures at once.
I use only acrylic paint these days and it seems to work fine. A good friend of mine says go with enamels if you will be handling the figures frequently (i.e. wargaming).
Anyway...my 2 cents...
