After not getting much help poking around looking for a color number or mix for US soldiers in WWII I came up with a few that I think are close, or at least look good.
I am using the Tamiya Olive Drab XF-62 with a good portion of yellow added to it. Almost half yellow I would say. Then using a much darker mix of the same for a wash.
I like the contrast and the faded material effect it gives.
If anyone has a favorite of theirs they are willing to share please do!
