Discipline is walking into Hobby Lobby tonight...

... seeing two Revell 1/72nd Type VII U-Boats ($35 each with the 50% discount) and walking out with NEITHER. To add insult to injury, I actually spent most of my time on the other side of the store picking up Halloween stuff I actually needed to pick up.

But I still have one more day on those subs, right. ;-)

Maybe it was fear of the wife?

Been to our local HL 5-6 times the last two weeks. Just picked up some auto

1/32 snaps for the Gkids and Dragon 3 in1 tank. I keep eyeing the BIG Bone, the sub and Big Deuce but have talked myself out of them each time. But you're right, one more day......................:-)

That's crazy talk.

Besides, the HL's here are closed on Sundays.

Went back to HL today - passed on the subs (again) and decided to hold off on the big Tomcat too. Neither is in my mainstream of focus (1/35th armor and 1/48th aircraft) so I figured if I was going to be weak right now, at least make it count. I couldn't resist the Dragon King Tiger Ardennes 1944 kit at $18. I recalled the discussion in RMS on Dragon's recent improvements a few days ago and decided I needed to find out for myself.

WOW! That is some good looking plastic in there - and aluminum, and brass... Let the research begin.

They're all closed on Sundays. The discipline will be if they issue another 40% off anything coupon in tomorrows ad. :-)

Ours happens to have a humongous submarine model, Revell I think, about

3' long I'd guess and about $69. BIG sucker for sure! They have a huge one of the QM II too. Bought that one myself.

They're all closed on Sundays.

Went by my local HL today just as they were putting out some new stock and picked up the Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I. And I wasn't even "shopping." They are closed now so we've got to wait until the next quarter for a big sale.

Don't know about all the stores but the local one has an aisle devoted to mark-downs. All the models on clearance are 1/3 off. Saw a Tamiya Beaufighter and a 72nd Mossie and a bunch of cars and cycles. Seems like an ongoing thing.

Me too. I just couldn't stay away. Passed on the sub, Bone and Big Deuce again but picked up Dragon Tiger, T-34? and a Caddy kit just for the engine and wheels for a rod project. I'll curbside the body in some mild custom, I guess.

Has anyone seen the Big Zero from Tamiya there yet?

Well seeing as how you have no gun's in the house anymore, we know it has happened in your case.....

You're just bragging because it's safe to have knives in yours again. ;)

Yeah., and it is still not safe here.

Just dropped an X Acto knife while barefooted and it landed point first stuck in the carpet between my big toe, and the next one.

Needless to say I learned a lesson very quickly, thankfully with no blood shed this time !!!

BTW, I just actually finished a model for the first time in a year !~! (1/32 109 G6 R2)

Only use dull blades?

No, sharp blades and a dull mind at times.......

But hey, I AM building models consistently right now, so this is a good thing :)

"But I told you we made the decision together."

Ahem...

I guess I walked into that one...
