Here's another source for Pocher kits I found by accident...in Canada:

There's actually quite a cult out there building Pocher kits, and a quick Google search on Pocher will get you lots of info.

Personally, I'd REALLY like to get hold of this kit:

Not currently. I build one about 20 years ago. I still have it on display in a glass case. I also have another kit stashed for future build.

Out of the box they are impressive but not great. But with some extra datailing they can make stunning museum quality replicas.

Jim,

I have two, 1 in progress and the other waiting for more time and a larger work area.

Brady Ward is one of the "gurus" of the Pocher world and his site is great.

Also try

Another dedicated Pocher site.

The models are very complex, suffer from fit issues, but with some effort, can be built into extraordinary replicas.

I have an Alfa underway. There are problems with the kit but, as said above, you can get a nice build with a little persistance, a dash of luck, and a lot of cursing, I probably won't actually finish this thing until this winter. It's one of those things you want to pick up and then put down for a while. If I focused strictly on it, I might need medication (:>

Jon,

Which is the one that you are currently working on and which is the one in reserve? I spoke to Brady on the phone. Nice guy, appears to be the Einstein of Pocher. I'm currently bidding on the Fiat F7 as my first Pocher build. Are you aware of any good books on Pocher besides the ones that Brady has on his website? jim

I couldn't afford one, I had to settle for the real car.

Jimbo,

I don't have any jpegs right now. When I get just a little further along, I will email some and also post them on the alt.binaries area. I am finishing up the chassis and engine details. I'll take some detailed snaps of the major pieces before and after I get the chassis completed, engine and drivetrain installed and up on wheels.

Ron,

Any advice that you can give to a novice Pocher builder such as myself. I just won a sealed NOS Fiat F7 Pocher. Thanks for the advice, jim

Do you mean the Fiat F-2? I have one of those completed. If you mean that kit, the first thing I would do is make a copy of the instruction sheet, get a highlighter and make sure you have accounted for all the parts needed to finish the kit. The F-2's are notorious for having missing parts. The F-2 is probably the easiest one of the Pocher kits to build. You won't have much problem with fit mostly because there isn't much bodywork. The leather and cloth parts might be very fragile because of age. I would examine what you have a go to a craft store to pick up some similar materials. You can use what Pocher packed in the kit as patterns for new leather / fabric. I'll see if I still have my build notes from the kit and pass them along if I can find them. Take your time and have fun.

Yep that is the one. The K-88 kit. Have never seen the K-70. Did you build a K-70 or K-88? jim

Actually I'm going to go visit him up at his home in Los Angeles as I'm in San Diego which is not that far of a drive. Where abouts do you live? jim
