I'm working on Tamiya's 1/12 Hayabusa GSX1300R bike, and was wondering what kind of superdetailing it would benefit from.
Do any detailed photos of the engine exist anywhere on the web?
Are there aftermarket drilled disc brakes?
Which areas are made of carbon fiber?
check google for bike groups. there are a lot.
Try and find Tamiya Magazine Dec/Jan 03 - it's got a feature on the Tamiya Hayabusa. The guy that built it didn't add any aftermarket stuff, but it turned out nice.
He drilled his own disks with a micro bit and painted them with Alclad II Chrome. They were very realistic done that way. He used Alclad II a lot for the different metal types and textures.
