question about Germany Gray on Krupp Protze

Oct 03, 2005 2 Replies

After many years of hardcore aircraft modeling, I'm taking a break from that and building the Tamiya 1/35 Krupp Protze truck that I purchased from a vendor's bargain bin at the Atlanta Nats.

Anyway, my question is about application of German Gray. I know that the upper surfaces are all German gray. I'm assuming that everything associated with the underside and chassis, with the exception of the engine and the exhaust system, should also be painted G. Gray. Is this correct?

Not correct but close enough for most. Frames were originally painted a semigloss black with grey/green drive train components.
