needle in haystack. it is hard to find an entire solar system in the context of a universe, never mind a tiddling
10 mile diameter chunk of ice. if there is no light...or black ice. remember, the universe is 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999% empty. or more.
damn good story. where is that book?
imnsho.
Oh I wasn't flaming the Galactica chat - I was lamenting not being able to join in for fear of spoiling the fun for others who haven't seen all 13 episodes.
Here's one torrent link, but it only has Ep 8-13.

clones. their creator also built the gun.
Yep, there are others but this I believe is the grandaddy torrent app. It's a quick and easy download and install:
If everything's kosher, clicking on the torrent file of the episode you want to download should begin automatically. I did have a problem once with Shareaza trying to claim the torrent file type as one of its own, but I made that problem go away.
Too easy to leak info from unaired SciFi episodes into the mix. Imagine how pissed off someone would be if I slipped up and let it out that in Episode
13 we discover Boomer isn't a Cylon. ********* JUST KIDDING! **********Nah - just didn't want anyone to think I was pooping on the Galactica chat. Off topic doesn't bother me. Model skills superior to mine - now that chaps my ass. ;-)

You're both right - "Gun on Ice Planet Zero". It had the clones (on the planet) and the convicts (aboard the shuttle).

I still wanna know who's making kits. I saw a new resin base star over at Fed Models. Looked pretty good but I want 'em all.

The series was just officially picked up for a second season this week, so it'll be a while. Sounds like feast and famine for BT'ers.
There is one other LITTLE change that I'm not too crazy about. That's adding the faceplate to their helmets. I liked the idea that there was a forcefield of some sort there from the original series.
The original series' helmets has an "Egyptian" look to them that was done intentionally. Added to that the fact that the glass would have interferred with viewing the actors' faces. That was also why the "force screen emitters" on the sides of the opening were there; they helped to light up the actors' faces for the cameras as well. The newer plastics that are in use nowadays have changed that. Another case in point, when George Reeves wore glasses as Clark Kent in the old "Superman" TV show, all he wore were frames; there was no glass in them to interfere with the cameras of the day.
cool, i never knew that.
I recall reading that during the production of the original Star Wars flick the model builders would have to modify their builds due to camera and lighting concerns. A for instance are the canopies on the X-Wing. Initially they were designed to be bubble shaped before reflection problems forced them to switch to a flat panel style. Fact or fiction - who knows - but it makes for good reading. I guess they don't have to bother with those sorts of concerns with today's production technology.
