Who is gonna build models while watching the Super Bowl ??

I will be. After seeing our Buffalo Bills go to the Big Show four times in a row - and lose four times in a row - I've sworn off professional football. Especially after I, as a taxpayer, had to build and maintain a stadium for those bums. These days I'm more into University of Buffalo football, a better team and more exciting games.

Agree. College football is so much more exciting. Go Bears!
50 years now and still no appearance in the Rose Bowl.

The UB Bulls made their first appearance at a bowl game this month, the International Bowl in Toronto. They lost, but it was still a hard- fought game. They were invited to the Sugar Bowl back in 1958 but declined when they were told that two Black players would have to stay home. That 1958 team was the guests of honor at this past game.

Definitely not proud of my state's past history of racial segregation, but the Sugar Bowl apparently was officially integrated in 1956 when Bobby Grier, a black student, played for Pitt against Georgia Tech: This happened at a time before I was born, so please don't assume I am defending that system. (Remember that the MLB and NFL had only begun racial integration less than 10 years prior.) Just setting straight that this is well in the past. I'm a little touchy about people assuming my state is still fighting the Civil War. Thankfully, there have been a lot of positive changes since the 1950's. Official governmentally sanctioned Jim Crow racism in the South is long dead. Sadly however, in too many ways racism still exists overtly and covertly in the U. S., North and South, and much still needs to be done.
Back on topic, I don't have much interest in the Super Bowl this week except that the Steelers have Michael Adams and Ike Taylor, a pair of players from my alma mater, the University of Louisiana, whom I'll be pulling for to make some big plays. Even so, I'll probably be found in my model room Sunday.
