Draw a Sketch the size of the springs diameter. The click on Insert - Curve - Helix/Spiral. Go from there. Fairly easy, as there are few options to getting it right. Mr. Pickles

SolidWorks 2005 has a sweep with twist. You no longer have to create a helix.
